Description-Abstract	Federal departments and agencies must prepare annual reports of their Freedom of Information Act reports (FOIA) activities, on a fiscal-year basis. This publication provides an annual summary compilation of information contained in the annual FOIA reports that were prepared by federal departments and agencies. Specifically, these annual summaries contain information about the number of FOIA requests received, FOIA request backlogs, disposition of FOIA requests, use of exemptions, appeals of initial denials of FOIA requests, median number of days to process requests, expedited processing, staffing levels, costs, and comparisons of previous years.
